Head to Head on “Idol”: David Cook vs David Archuleta

America voted, and they voted for the two Davids for the American Idol Season 7 Grand Finale. Just like Simon Cowell and many others predicted, it’s David vs David, but who will take home the “bacon”?
David, the rocker, or David, the balladeer?
David, the more versatile singer, or David, the pure voice singer?
David, the judges’ favorite, or David, the fans’ favorite?
Both have come a long way. Both are definitely talented. Both deserve to be one of the top two contenders (at least since Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado got voted out - that’s my opinion).
There’s a lot of buzz going around about who’s better, so here’s a few points to help you decide:
People like David Cook for his soulful and versatile voice. He can sing any type of song and definitely can sing on a stage like a pro. He can look cool and confident on stage. He’s simple. His fans are mostly rockers and ladies.
Whereas, David Archuleta’s young and pure voice is what fans love about him. He’s also been the teens’ favorite from the very beginning of the season. He’s sweet and wholesome. His fans are mostly teenagers and pop lovers.
The final verdict won’t be until Tuesday, so keep those fingers crossed.
And the winner is David Cook.
Yep yep! Go David Cook! Simon had this planned since the day Syesha got voted out. Nice thinking Simon!
